"I was the conductor of the Underground Railroad for eight years, and I can say what most conductors can't say; I never ran my train off the track and I never lost a passenger."
I was born in Maryland, Dorchester around 1820 to Ben and Harriet Ross. I grew up as a slave and was a very determined person. I was hit on the head when I was little, which caused some damage, but I never let that stop me later on in my life. I saved hundreds of people and successfully led all of them to safety. I made a great impact in our country; this isn't just because of my actions, but of how I influenced other people too. When I died in 1913 of pneumonia, but I left behind a legacy that should not be forgotten. I left behind the craving for change for equality and the courage to run for want you want.
